Please see below for important Back-to-School reminders from the CCS Transportation Department.
- If you are new to CCS, please download the Edulog App from the App Store or Google Play which is used by our transportation department. Edulog parent portal users should receive notifications by August 4th that they will again be able to see their student information in Edulog. Edulog instructions are attached to this post and an instructional YouTube video is located here: https://youtu.be/vUEVprGXYnw?feature=shared
- Parents who have not requested transportation for 25-26 school year and now have a need for transportation must request it. Parents should contact their school immediately to request transportation.
- All transportation address changes should be updated with your home school as soon as possible. Bus passes will be available at your school's open house for all parents.
- Please discuss Bus Safety Rules with your students. These are attached to this post as a PDF and also included in the Parent Handbook and Student Code of Conduct.
- As a reminder, please be at your bus stop ten minutes early.
- For questions about transportation, please contact the front office of your child's school.

APPLICATIONS FOR FREE & REDUCED MEALS: The application for free and reduced-price meals will open July 21st in the LINQ Connect system. You can access the application at https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new. If you do not plan to apply for free meals and your child has not been pre-approved and does not attend a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) school, please add money to your child’s meal account by the first day of school. You can do so by visiting https://linqconnect.com/main.

VOLUNTARY STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE NOW AVAILABLE: Cabarrus County Schools is pleased to announce that voluntary student accident insurance applications for the 2025–26 school year are now available. This optional coverage, provided through K&K Insurance Group, Inc., may offer families an added layer of financial protection in the event of student injuries during school activities. Enrollment is open year-round, and parents or guardians can conveniently apply online. INFINITE CAMPUS IS COMING IN AUGUST!: Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, all public schools in the state of North Carolina will have transitioned from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus as our new Student Information System (SIS). Infinite Campus will serve as the primary source for student grades, schedules, and attendance information.
Information for how to connect to your student account will be delivered just prior to the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT SCHOOLS FOR INFINITE CAMPUS INFORMATION PRIOR TO OPEN HOUSE EVENTS in EARLY AUGUST.

National Night Out event, organized by the Cabarrus Sheriff’s Office, aims to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and our community.
This event will focus on promoting positive interactions, fostering trust, and building lasting relationships.

SUN Bucks is a USDA program providing a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child to help families purchase groceries over the summer. Funds are distributed on a debit-like card and can be used at participating retailers.

🍽️Free Summer Meals for Kids 🍽️
- No child should go hungry during the summer. Families can find free summer meal sites across North Carolina offering breakfast and lunch to all children and teens aged 18 and under—no registration or ID required.

Is your child a 6th, 11th grader or soon to be kindergartener who needs immunizations to comply with state law for next school year? If so, the Cabarrus Health Alliance is holding school immunization clinics on the following dates at our Kannapolis location to provide these vaccines.
- July 9th, 2025, 8AM—11AM and 1PM—3:30PM
- July 23rd, 2025, 8AM—11AM and 1 PM—3:30 PM
- August 15th, 2025 8AM—11AM and 1PM—3:30 PM

Cost: Free for those 18 years and younger who are uninsured or have Medicaid. Cabarrus Health Alliance can file with most private insurances such as United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Medcost, and Ambetter. Please call your insurance to make sure we are in network and to confirm benefit coverage.
Walk-ins welcome; appointments preferred.
