Rocketing Into the Week is your go-to guide for staying connected with all the exciting events happening at Royal Oaks School of the Arts! Each week, this newsletter will keep families informed about important dates, school activities, and special opportunities for students. Our goal is to ensure you have all the details you need to support your child’s learning and engagement on campus. Stay tuned and stay involved as we soar through another fantastic week together!
 

Starting this Week: End of Grade Testing

End of Grade Testing will be held on the following dates:
  • Thursday, May 8th: 3rd-8th Grade Reading
  • Monday, May 12th: 5th & 8th Grade Science, 3rd Grade Read to Achieve
  • Tuesday, May 13th: 3rd-8th Grade Math

Please ensure you child arrives to school by 8:15 am on testing day. Students who arrive late will have to be tested on a separate day, and we do not want them to miss any fun end of the year activities to test!

Middle School Spring Showcase

🎪 Step Right Up for a Night to Remember! 🎭

Royal Oaks School of the Arts Presents: The Greatest Show

Join us under the big top for a spectacular celebration of creativity, talent, and heart as our middle school students take the stage for their Spring Showcase!

🗓️ Date: Tuesday, May 6, 2025
đź•” Time: 5:15 PM
📍 Location: Royal Oaks School of the Arts

Beginning at 5:15 with the art gallery featuring work 6-8 grade art students.

Theater Majors will have a couple of numbers 
Chorus, Dance, and Strings normal song and dance numbers.

The performance will close with a mashup featuring chorus, dance, and theater majors.

This dazzling performance will feature the incredible work of our middle school artists, musicians, dancers, and actors in a one-of-a-kind show you won’t want to miss. It's going to be The Greatest Show—and you're invited!

Bring your friends, family, and a big round of applause—we’ll see you there!
 
Medicine Pick Up

Medicine Pick Up

If your student has medicine at school, that medication will need to be picked up by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult. 

For emergency medications, we recommend picking up on the last day of school, May 20th, by end of day. 

If you need to make special arrangements to pick up your child's medication, please call the school nurse @ 704-260-6326.

If your student will be attending summer school and will need their medication, please contact the school nurse.

Please note that Medications cannot be left at the school over the summer and will be disposed of per FDA guidelines. 
 

Library Books

The last day to check out Library Books is Wednesday, May 7th.

Please ensure all library books are turned in by the last day of school!

Kindergarten Camp

Sign-Up for Kindergarten Camp

Join us for Kindergarten Camp at Royal Oaks School of the Arts on July 31st! 🎨📚

This fun and engaging event is designed for students who will be starting kindergarten at ROSA this year. They’ll get to meet their teachers, make new friends, and enjoy exciting activities to kick off their school journey!
🕗 Parents can choose the time that works best:
⏰ 8:00-10:30 or 12:00-2:30

📢 Parents, don’t forget! This is a drop-off event, but you’re invited to attend an informational session at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM before picking up your child.
